Made at home – a WWII Air raid shelter

We were wowed by a fantastic piece of homework from one of our students today! Year 5’s topic is World War 2 and one of their choice’s for homework was to build an Anderson shelter (air raid shelter). This shelter is wired with power so there is a little light and even the siren sounds, warning of an air raid. He made little sand bags, chairs and beds and has even painted a beautiful black silhouette sky line. It was defiantly a WOW moment when he brought it into school!
